Eucalyptus seed have not been modified species and the growth is unstable.
- Stem – The stem grows irregularly has crooked, big prongs, and growth slowly.
- Bark – Bark is thick and has less wood skin.
- Roots – There are deep taproots, hard stump, and wide bushes.
- Leaves – There are very dense leaves. Obscuring sunlight.
- Yield – Yield about 10-12 tons/acre.
The Kittiwana Group breed is adapted to suit all conditions of the area and growth stable.
- Stem – Straight and without crooks. There are prong branches, grow fast, and stably.
- Bark – Thin and has more woody.
- Roots – Without taproots and easy to take stump off.
- Leaves – Sheer bushes are not wide and rid branch out by itself.
- Yield – Yield about 18-20 tons/acre.
Sapling grows well in all species, but there will be differences based on the nature of the plantation area. For example:
- The K7 grow well in loamy soils, loamy clay, and loamy sand. The trees prefer lowlands or low places with good drainage.
- The K62 grow well in loamy soils and loamy clay sand which suitable for flat areas, hill, and slopes at the foot of the mountains,
- The K58 grows well in loamy soils, loamy sand, and loamy clay sand on foothill/ Plains with deep soil slope. This K58’s growth rate and gain weight is appropriated with most at the age of 4-5 years.
All species grows well because of each species have good condition to growth regularly and have good weight depends on the type of customer plantation area such as high, low or flooded.
Can be cut and sale in the ages of 3-4 years up depends on the size and its utilization.
Does planting eucalyptus damage the soil? Planting all kinds of plants deteriorates the soil. Food and water in the soil are used for the plant to growth such as growing common bushes, it eats both food and water in the soil, and we have to find a lot more food and water maybe fertilize as well. You have to give it artificial rainwater, but when you plant eucalyptus; unless you do not add water or feed it; make eucalyptus find nutrition and water by itself. It grows very fast and makes the soil shabby generally, but if you rotated the plant and the soil is plowed regularly, it will make soil always good and definitely not deteriorating.
There have buy-back market. For eucalyptus can be processed into paper texture and it can meet the needs of the market very well. Hence, it had promoted planting commercially, and nowadays many parties have turned their attention to eucalyptus wood a lot whether both government and private company which in the future eucalyptus markets would have bright path in both domestic and international markets because of it became a raw material for various industries which is not only pulp and paper, but also chopped wood. For example, fiberboard, plywood sheets, furniture, and etc. which is considered as an export product that generates ten billion baht in revenue per year.
Average yield about 18-20 tons/acre depending on the species grown and caring for each age.
There are 2 suitable planting phases. As follows:
- Distance 1.5*3 m. About 355 plants/acre.
- Distance 1.5*2.8 m. About 380 plants/acre which is a distance that can be used tractor to manage for weeding.

How much does it cost per ton?
For customers who plant and do not sign a price insurance contract. Where can the customers sale? There are 2 factories in the general wood buying area or the Kittiwana group’s timber factory which has 2 factories are Lam Khao Factory and Union Factory. The purchase price is the market price announced in front of the factory. As for customer who plant and sign a price insurance contract, they must be sale their wood to the company only. The price will be received according to the conditions specified in the contract such as insurance price 1,400 baht/ton.
There are several buying points in the area and there are wooden buying factories of the Kittiwana Group in the eastern region:
